The wait is over. “Timber Land” will be the first single from Exit 5, the debut full-length studio album from singer-songwriter Howard Kirkpatrick. It will be released on all major streaming services on October 9, 2026.
Picking the lead single wasn’t easy. “Stars,” “Cigarettes and Cell Phones” and “Old Granite Stones” were all in the running. In the end, “Timber Land” got the call. Longtime fans know it from Kirkpatrick’s live shows, and it’s a song about holding on when everything around you is coming down:
When my world comes tumbling down
High hopes left low on the ground
Timber Land
Exit 5 was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Tom Eaton. The 13-song album will roll out one single at a time, leading up to the full release.
Mark your calendar for October 9. Follow Howard on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and look for “Timber Land” on Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, Pandora and everywhere you stream music the day it drops.
