First Singles From New Howard Kirkpatrick Album Announced

Many fans will know many of the songs on the forthcoming Howard Kirkpatrick album, MUCH ABOUT MUCH, from seeing one of the singer’s many live shows through the years. His unique brand of Springsteen meets Billy Joel meets Neil Young has captivated audiences in the Boston and Cambridge music scenes for years. Now they will finally be able to access his music any time they choose through a brand new album the artist is due to release soon.

Choosing the first single has been difficult for the artist’s record label, Dying Van Gogh Records. Singer-songwriter Ed Hale, Kirkpatrick’s label rep at DVG, commented recently, “Howard just recorded an album of thirteen songs where you’d swear that half of them or more could be truly viable singles, because so many of the songs are so damn good and catchy. This is going to be a challenge…. Coming up with just one song to start.”

So far the top FOUR songs being considered as contenders for singles are “Stars”, “Change Gonna’ Come”, “No Closer”, and “Old Granite Stones”.
